I was blessed enough to have witnessed, for the first time, the famous Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City! It was my second time in Baguio last February so I wasn't that excited to see the place, I was very excited to witness the Flower Festival, tho. And of course, I LOVE the weather there, so I was really happy that I got to go there again!
Anyway, back to Panagbenga Festival. Saturday, February 22, was the day pf the Street Dancing Competition. We left the hotel early so we could find the best spot to watch the parade. When we got to the Burnham Park, there were a lot of people already but we managed to squeezed ourselves somewhere near the rope. It wasn't the best spot, but we were ones of those who have secured a nice place to watch the street dance!
About the Street Dance Groups, some where fascinating, some were boring and didn't even give out a festive vibe but, there were some groups who were able to make the people feel the happy-fiesta vibe! Some were really entertaining, especially the you gay people who gave their 200% in their performances!
I was not able to take that much photos because I suck in multi-tasking! It was so difficult to take photos and watch them colorful street dancers at the same time! There were quite a lot of out takes and only few made the cut of blog-worthy photos. Heehee! I need to refresh my basic photography skills. I should seat in at FPPF before my one year free pass expires. :))
This girl is one of those kids who was able to let out a very festive vibe while dancing. She was smiling the whole time. Well, I wouldn't know if she really was smiling all through out the parade, but from the moment I saw her until she vanishes out of my sight, that genuine smile was painted on her face. Yagetwhatimeanrighttt?
This little is so pretty! She reminds me of a local child actress. I just can't remember who and where I watched her look a like. :/ Anyway, she's pretty, righttt?
And of course! I love the tiangge! There were so many food stalls! I chose to eat Shawarma rice and bought Vigan Longganisa as my extra ulam. Ah. Delish!!!
And, here's the crowd. There was even a lot more people during the float parade the next day! I will blog about it next time. Soon. Like, tomorrow -soon, I hope!
